Back in January I gave you a little sneak peek with this post of the Valentine’s Day album/photo book I had put together for my dearest.
I’m happy to report the gift left him wide-eyed and smiling, and it had us both laughing at the heartfelt cheese factor. Win.
Naturally, the Happy-Valentine’s-Day-darling-now-you-need-to-pose-with-the-book-so-I-can-show-it-off strings that often come attached to these sorts of handmade gifts followed the big reveal. He happily obliged, of course.
I kept the front and back cover simple by using a handwritten font to create the Happy Valentine’s Day title and then enclosed the year 2016 in a small doodle heart.
Here’s a look at most of the pages from the printed photo book:
I made the font large, used solid papers and let the doodles, photos and silly pick-up lines steal the show.
The 6×6 inch size was a great size to showcase the layouts in this album, though the soft cover didn’t leave me in awe. The top part of the book wasn’t bound with the same care that was given to the bottom half. I haven’t had that issue with the hardcover books, but I did contact with the company that printed this book to express my concern.
On a very happy note, my Valentine’s Day Card & Layout Challenge was an inspiring success! I am so thrilled and thoroughly impressed with each of the cards and layouts that were created by all of the creative scrappers. Thank you to everyone who joined the fun!
